Old Tees, New Tease

Finally I am updating! This picture was from my front door after it actually rained a little bit.
It's been a crazy week. Isi hid my wallet in one of my dresser drawers, and now that it was found my cell phone is missing. I thought I heard a dying battery beep in my room the other day but haven't heard anything since (I blame the baby).
My amazing friend Rachel is down from Seattle with her boys. We've had a blast, but poor Braedon has come down with the stomach flu. We seem to be the place for everyone to suffer through this nasty flu this year.
I am so proud of Isi. She is walking up stairs holding the railing, can snatch stuff off some of the counters, and has started singing. I wish I could show video to you all what she is like when you cross her path and you are screamed at, it's

too funny.
My latest project is a skirt made from old T-Shirts. I am very proud of how it turned out. Anyone up for a T-Party? The girls have done a few projects themselves however we can't seem to find them both at the same time. You know how it goes, it's not fair to post just one girls project.

Till next week,
Love Charmaine

New Project

Thought I would show my new painting project. I am trying out color washing in the living room. This requires two base coats, and three top coats of glaze. I must be crazy, I know. The result I think is fantastic. Now if only Isi would sleep for more than one to two hours at a time I might get something more done than just one wall.
Lot's of updates for the week. Hera is starting art club at school and here she is
pictured performing a cheer for parent night. Athena has joined the chess club, now she will have some competition since I prove to be no challenge. We are also trying to find a better soccer association for Athena to be part of. The last one was hard to enjoy due to very poor organization.
Ted had his doctors appointment this week and there is no question that is disc is so badly degenerated and pushing against some nerves he has to go in for surgery. Not all the exercise and diet in the world is going to fix this one. Surgery will happen February 13th. Nice valentines day gift or what? All you woman out there know exactly what I mean. In the meantime he has to do more x-rays, blood work and paper work all for the big day. His doctor said there is a good chance he will feel a huge difference the moment he wakes up. I can't wait just to be saved from all his tossing, turning all night because he can't get comfortable.

Till next week,

Starting a New Year!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe it is 2007 and we are in beautiful Arizona. Can you believe it's supposed to hit 24 degrees Celsius today (75F)? Yup, had to rub it in and put the pressure on for you to vacation down here.
We started off the New Year with our traditional Vasilopita cake, which is usually very inedible, cutting slices for house and family etc. Our house was the slice that had the coin and for some reason my cake was delicious!
This last week I finally finished making my yearly Christmas ornaments just in time to pack them away for next year along with losing my wallet. Thankfully the wallet turned up at Safeway. Whew! I was actually having nightmares going store to store trying to find it. I blame Ted (like always) for leaving it in the cart.
Ted is seeing a doctor about a slipped disc in his back only to get in a car accident a few days ago. Everyone is OK but it was a huge wake up call. What would we do if it had been more serious especially since it happend in California? The accident wasn't Ted's fault saving a lot of headaches, however the officer did inform Ted that his drivers license was illegal. We will be changing that quick.
Athena and Hera are on the honor role again, each one B shy of getting straight A's. We are very proud.
Isi is always amazing us. Lately she picks Baby Einstein movies out and gives them to us to put on for her, she loves to dance, and will turn off her little music player in her crib when someone finally comes to get her. I think this girl is growing even faster than her sisters.

I hope you all check in now and then and see what's up and how the kids are growing.

Hugs and Kisses from the Sfikas Girls and one Ted
